I know how she felt
Kind of a skimply blog today, isn’t it? Well, I had a doctor’s appointment in the morning and another in the afternoon, no time to have lunch. Off we go to Dr. No. 2.
I’m glad I rested when we got home. I might have said something intemperate. I was quite hot under the collar with all the waiting, and the growing list of demands made on me preparatory to my next operation. I strongly felt it was a case of “Don’t give him anything to hit, but don’t walk him, either!” The doctor version goes, “Make sure you rest, rest, rest before the surgery; but also make appointments with Dr. X, Dr. Y, and Dr. Z and go here, go there, etc., etc.”
How the devil am I supposed to get any rest? Believe me, I was ready to rant! But somehow the doctor steered a course around my growlings and my spirit settled down. If he did that on purpose, he’s an amazing doctor.
But I would very much appreciate a few days in a row without a doctor’s appointment anywhere, anytime.
It’s always a hassle.
