Lee is now in Hartwyck (the nursing home) . He’s been there a few days and I have been visiting every day–hence the lack of posts as I am kind of flying around. Thank heaven for grocery deliveries.
He is in good spirits, getting PT every weekday. You seem to lose a lot of ground physically when you are bed bound for even a few days. His hip is no help, either.
I am assuming he will be there at least 2 weeks in order to reach the level of function he had before he had surgery, which is usually the goal.
I will try to post more often.
Grateful for all your prayers.
God bless everybody.
Patty
Love getting good news. Praise God! Both of you are in my prayers everyday. I know how hard it is on you Patty having been there with my husband.
Thank you so much, Patty, for updating us. You and Lee are constantly in my prayers. I was even going to try calling you if we hadn’t heard anything in another day or two. Right now it’s hard for me to communicate online because my computer monitor died, which means essentially I have no computer until my new one arrives, and I have a lot of trouble writing on my teeny-tiny phone keyboard. Please tell Lee we love him and miss him and pray for him all the time.
Tank you, Patty.
This was the big one, as far as systemic impact is concerned. I had intestinal surgery years ago, and the first few days were, shall we say, challenging, but the long term effect on my health was very positive. We’re here, and we care, but Lee doesn’t need to worry about posting again until he’s ready.
Patty, you and Lee are in my prayers. Thanks for the updates.
