It’s a grey, dreary day, Patty and I are still coughing, and somehow I think maybe I dodged a mean fastball to put up three posts. It’s so far short of my normal output: it would be wonderful to stop being sick.
I wonder if I can get away with a cigar.

Take your time, Lee. Do what you can and don’t risk a relapse. I agree with Unknowable that a cigar might not be a good idea while you and Patty are still coughing.

The picture of the two “sad” dogs under a blanket I think says it all! My husband and I are now 80 years old, and we are also struggling with physical challenges. He has dementia now, and I have lost a lot of my physical strength and have serious digestive issues. So I can only encourage you both to take it one day at a time, be thankful still for our many blessings that we do have despite theses challenges, and live in assurance that the Lord Jesus loves us and prays for us, and is always faithful to His promises towards those who trust in Him. These hindrances won’t last forever, but His love for us will.
