When Things Don’t Work

Wow, I’m so late! And all because nothing seems to work as it should.

Doctor’s appointment: sit there and wait for an hour… and then some.

Computer: Hahahahahaha! As they try to stuff me into the straitjacket.

Doctor won’t allow me to eat fresh fruit. This has been going on for two months. I am not the better for it.

Computer screw-ups ate up at least an hour.

Physicians and computers… Tell me again: these are supposed to enhance our quality of life? No lying now! Let’s have the truth.

  1. Ooogh, tell me about it. This weekend, we had a power outage from 8am Saturday morning until 4am Sunday morning. I’m still trying to catch up after that.

  2. One post got through the other day, but my next posts, not at all. This one, if it posts, was from a few weeks ago, but still applies to your blog today.

‘”no fresh fruit or vegetables” diet.” Say what? You’re kidding, right? What are you supposed to eat? Pills? Drugs? Capsules full of inorganic chemicals?

This was from today, June 17. “Doctor won’t allow me to eat fresh fruit. This has been going on for two months. I am not the better for it.” Really…how could you be! No, don’t eat real food or fruit, what could go wrong? No, don’t eat fruit, herbs, nor food with enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and natural compounds which God created for humans to eat, modern doctors know better.

Real food is the only thing that can truly heal anyone! Drugs do not heal! At times they might help, but organic, whole food, is God’s medicine He gave to the human race. Those are true healing agents. As it’s been said, if you don’t make food your medicine, medicine will become your food.

Two months ago, I was having a lot of pain, I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the hospital, and found out it was Gall stones, I had a bunch. Surgery was the only suggestion by the doctors, the only thing that could heal me, they said.

For most of our sicknesses and diseases, there are natural cures and ways to heal what ails us. I took care of that problem in six days, no surgery, just a few natural foods and mineral drops did the trick.

I have made a few suggestions, in the past, about things you should eat. But I have never said anything about the course of treatment you decided to take. Nevertheless, I was very unhappy about all the surgeries you allowed the surgeons to perform upon you. I still pray for you and Patty, but I also pray you would fire, immediately, whoever prescribed that diet! And search for a doctor/doctors who deal with natural healing, real food, herbs, and such. There are a few doctors, who use both, the natural healing ways, along with “modern medicine” interventions, such surgeries.

    Elder Mike

    1. Mike, I have posted this before.
I won’t put myself in a position to make medical decisions. Otherwise, why have doctors at all?

    2. Right in the money, Lee. I had a burst appendix, in my teens, and while this didn’t involve a full bowel resection, to the best of my knowledge, it was still quite a while before everything worked properly. The first few days were living hell, and I was limited to sucking on crushed ice, and couldn’t so much as drink a glass of water. Ironically, my window looked out upon another wing of the hospital, where I could see a Coke machine, which only made me thirstier.

The doctors know the value of fresh fruits and vegetables, but they also don’t want to risk the very serious effects which would happen if the intestines are not fully healed when high fiber foods are reintroduced into the diet. You are using good sense in this matter, Lee.

    3. Coke is bad for you, Lee. I wouldn’t drink anything carbonated unless your doctor concurs, but I’ve probably averaged one sugar/high-fructose-corn-sweetener sweetened soda per year, most of my adult life. For a while, I drank Nutri-Sweet sweetened beverages, but dropped those cold, long ago. The only time I tend to drink sodas would be if I have an upper respiratory infection, in which case I drink Ruby Red Squirt but I think that hasn’t happened in nearly 10 years. Soda pop is not healthy.

I drink flavored, unsweetened, seltzers, Perrier or tea. Hydration is a big deal, in these parts, and I drink a lot of seltzer in the heat of the summer. I supplement electrolytes, too.

  3. Yes, Elder Mike, the “no fresh fruit” sounded to me like when my sister intentionally concentrated on eating potassium-rich foods. Her blood pressure went very low so she stopped taking her blood pressure medicine, and then her blood pressure normalized. Her doctor was upset and insisted she stop eating those fruits and vegetables that were causing low blood pressure and resume taking her bp med instead of food to keep her blood pressure normal. She followed her own common sense plan.

  4. Eating real fruit, and whole raw food, can’t heal any one, can it? There have been many cases, where doctors could not do anything more for the one dying, and they sent them home to die.

Nevertheless, with nothing else to lose, they starting eating a diet of whole foods, fresh fruit, raw vegetables, cut out red meat, and highly processed foods, sugar, white flour, and such, they healed themselves.

  5. Okay, I think I’m about to post an unpopular view on the “no fresh fruit or vegetables” recommendation.

The alternative, of course, it to eat meat. Especially ruminant meat.

All plants contain toxins. They have to. It’s their natural self defense against things that eat them. With the decades going into pushing “healthy” fruits, vegetables and grains, as little meat as possible, especially no red meat, and cutting fats, our culture is eating a diet completely foreign to humans in general until very recently. I’ve seen documentation of what the average person in the 50’s ate, and it was loaded with meats and fats (butter had its own category, so much of it was eaten), salt and sugar. The average person, regardless of economic status or gender, ate an average 3000 calories a day. Calories were considered just another nutrient, not something to count or angst over.

I suspect this has resulted in a lot of people losing their tolerance for plant toxins. We aren’t ruminants that can safely digest them.

Which means, we need to be eating ruminants.

Red meat is nutrient dense and highly digestible. Fruits, vegetables and grains are not. Fat is essential to our health. Carbs are not; our bodies can make the glucose it needs.

A growing number of people have reclaimed their health after decades of failures on the part of the medical establishment. They did it by, in some cases, going totally carnivore. Beef, butter, salt, water, for some. Others could tolerate other meats and seafood. Still others could tolerate limited vegetation, but carbs had to be cut completely. No grains of any kind, no fruit, and only specific vegetables. Lots of protein and animal fats.

Some could eventually add some carbs back into their diets, but most felt so good after cutting them out, they had no desire to ever ingest them again.

The thing is, we don’t actually need to eat fruit or vegetables, and fibre isn’t the necessity it’s been made out to be. We’ve got people who have eaten nothing but meat and fat for generations, and never had any of the health problems everyone else had, until they started eating other foods.

So much of what we’ve been taught about what is or isn’t “healthy” food is based on false claims made based on ego, not data. In many cases, false or manipulated data was used to promote various diets as “healthy”. People rightfully object to government nutritional guidelines that now say that Cheerios are healthier than cheese, but they don’t realize the guidelines that say to eat mostly grains, fruits and vegetables are just as questionable.

We need to be eating more and better meat.

Funny how, in the last few years, the healthiest meats keep getting more and expensive. Oh, and we need to get rid of course, because of climate change… Better start eating those bugs!

  6. I agree, if you are going to eat meat, better is best. Make sure it is grass fed beef. Small farm raised, free range chicken and their eggs. Bison/buffalo is a good meat. They are not shot up with drugs nor antibiotics. The best hamburger I ever had was from a buffalo.

As far as what kind of food God designed us to eat, you might want to reread Genesis chapter one. Meat was not on the list.

You do make some good points. “Nevertheless, for me, and most others, this statement is not true. “fibre isn’t the necessity it’s been made out to be.”

Years ago, I went to the hospital, to find the cause of, after I used the toilet for a BM, why it looked like someone had dumped a bucket of blood in it. It took a few weeks, but fiber, lots of it from fruits and vegetables cured me. Never had that problem again.

As far as this statement, “No grains of any kind, no fruit, and only specific vegetables. Lots of protein and animal fats.” That is true. I have read about cases where people had to eat this restricted intake of food. They had to tailor a diet just for them. Just as some folks are allergic to some substances, but it causes no harm, and are good for others.

Kicking sugar, soda, white flour, junk foods, dairy products, and red meat has cured numerous people. Eating more vegetables and fruits, for most are the best things that should be eaten. But then again, there are peoples in some places that eat mostly meat and seem to do just fine. Each body is different, what cures most (like vegetable and fruits), is deadly for some.
