Still Cheesed Off

I’ve had a few days to think about it; and that business Thursday with Dr. So-and-So just makes me madder the more I think about it.

I think they wanted to play Hot Potato with me as the potato: whoever gets stuck with this patient when the  grim reaper rings his bell is the loser and has to pay the others. They do like to have as many doctors in the game as they can get. It’s a kind of Dr. Roulette.

I know, I know, don’t think about it. But every few seconds my busted hip reminds me that I actually have plenty to think about; and it’d be so nice if the damned hip didn’t hurt. But they won’t fix it–because this patient is 76 years old and might have cancer. He could land you in the losers’ circle.

Hippocratic Oath, my ass.

O Lord, I’m finding it exceedingly hard to forgive this.

  1. There’s little I can say. I’d keep looking at doctors. Let them know that you are in pain and need help. You might have to sign some fairly open ended releases, but I find it hard to believe that no one will touch this. Relatives have had hip replacements and major medical procedures well into their 80s or even 90s.

    1. This %$#^ machine disappeared your big comment before I could attempt to answer it (and watch this not work, either). Suffice it to say I don’t know which is a bigger confusion to me, computers or cars.

    1. I always read your posts, thoughtful and well-written. And I know you’ve spent time to edit and present something worth reading.

For my long comments, I will write them in Word and save them, and paste them here. It’s painful to see a lot of time spent writing something, only to have it disappear.

    2. Thanks. I try. I frequently do use an editor, but in this case, it was a stream of consciousness thing, on the spot, and forever lost to the sands of time snd the boundless incompetence of WordPress.
