I’m sorry to be so late with this, but yesterday was too hectic.
Lee felt so sick that I called his new Dr. (bless this man) and he squeezed us in yesterday afternoon. He decided to request a possible admission to JFK Medical Center, so I drove him right over. As usual even with a doctor’s note it took a lot of time with the processing. By the time I got home it was really late and I was really tired.
Here’s the bottom line. They are going to work out a game plan of treatment and he may be in a couple of days. At least they will be able to give him something for pain and fix him up for sleep. He has not had a real night’s sleep in a long time.
As usual, please keep him in your prayers.
God bless everybody.
Patty
Thanks for the update. There’s little we can do, beyond prayer, but know that Lee os in the hearts of many and certainly loved. Doctors are not perfect, but they csn do much good. I am alive today because some resident surgeons, 55 years ago, gave it their best efforts and because of that, I beat the odds.
Patty, several women in my church craft circle have been praying for Lee. Your latest update came in just in time for me to pass it on to them, and they’re stepping up their prayers for both of you. I, of course, continue to keep you both in prayer always.
Patty, I continue to pray for both you and Lee. Thanks for keeping us updated.
We appreciate these updates so much – thanks! May Lee be back home soon.
Does this game plan (treatment) include eating fresh fruit and vegetables? Have any of the doctors Lee has seen mentioned the kind of food he has been eating and what he should eat to get better? This is the missing ingredient in most treatments.
If the right fuel is not put into the gas tank of a car, it will not run good, or maybe not at all. Our bodies are burning at 98.6. No good fuel (food) getting sick will happen and it will kill us. Good fuel heals, junk food kills.
Still praying for you and Lee.
Mike Lee is really too sick to eat anything. His appetite has diminished radically over the last few weeks. I am very nutrition-conscious and tried to get fresh fruit and vegetables into him, but he just could not manage very much at all. I agree fresh nutritious food is the best but because of him being so ill, plus the fluid in his abdomen it was just not very doable for him. Patty
