A BAD DAY WITH A GREAT FINISH

Today it was gray, raining and muggy.  I had to go to the funeral parlor to get Lee’s ashes, then to the lawyer’s office where we discussed plans for my end-of-life decisions.   It sounded ominously imminent and a little creepy.

I came home, had lunch and was watching an Inspector Morse episode when I got a phone call from one of the chaplains at the hospital.  They do follow up calls for those who have suffered a bereavement.

We ended up having a rousing, wonderful conversation.

When he asked how I felt about the Charlie Kirk murder, and I told him, the floodgates opened.

This man was born in New York city and before he became a minister, he had worked in media.  Radio and television.  He worked for CBS and saw all the editing shenanigans in the control room and complained about it–to no avail.

We talked about Charlie Kirk, the incredible media slant, Jimmy Kimmel–you name it.  This man is on fire.  He wants to see the blog and is very happy that this small ministry is ongoing.

What an uplifting, stimulating end to a day that started so poorly.

We will talk again in three weeks and I am certainly looking forward to it.

I hope he enjoys the blog.

God bless everybody.

  1. What a marvelous way to end what might have been a very dreary day! — and maybe another friend made for you and for the blog. Lee continues his wonderful work even after he’s left us. He’s been a blessing for so many people.

Thank you for continuing the blog. You, too, have been a blessing for us.

    1. It amazes me, the degree to which the legacy media has set aside its objectivity and its ethics. At this point, I don’t much bother with them, anymore.

  2. I love being part of this blog with people who have so much in common, yet located around the US, and most of us have never actually met each other.

  3. There is one thing I really liked about Lee’s blog, that most other blogs didn’t have, a response from the blogger to the comments made.
