Thursday Wrap Up

Does anyone,(other than me) miss those little booklets that you used to get with many purchases?  Like electronics, vacuum cleaners, etc?  The booklets seem to have gone the way of the dodo and the pterodactyl.  I recently ordered a small hand held vacuum cleaner made by Shark.  I had a shark a number of years ago and it was good for as long as it lasted.  Very simple to use, one piece, with a charging stand.  Well this new little fellow seems to have a jillion parts, and instead of a booklet there is just a printed sheet showing all the parts, and where they go (sort of).  My mind is really not right yet, so tomorrow I will have to go on YouTube and look at one of  their “unboxing” videos.  Didn’t have it in me to do it today.  Lee always did the vacuuming–I’m really not supposed to–and this place needs it desperately.  I can’t tell you the last time it was done properly.

We are supposed to get snow Saturday night into Sunday.  That’s really a little early for New Jersey.  It means I have to go pick up my new glasses tomorrow–I can do that when I go out to return the pair of sweatpants I bought on Amazon.  The size is OK, but the leg length would be great for a player on the WNBA.  How could someone who wears a size small have such very long legs?  It’s rather hard to visualize.

Now that I have bored you all to tears with my exciting social whirl, I am going to go and cut up some lamb for supper.

God bless everybody

Patty

  1. Between having to cover customers who speak a wide variety of languages and the desire to reduce costs, the instruction book is a thing of the past. The Babel dispersion has become a major factor in these “connected” times.

    Lovely photo.
