As the day dribbles away

This day has been almost a total waste.

I’ve been waiting since this morning for the water cooler replacement to arrive.  It’s my fault for not asking for a time frame for the delivery.  This apartment gets quite dark very early at this time of year and even with my lights on, it is not the best.  That only lasts for a few weeks in the winter, but I don’t know how much manipulating this will involve.  Oh well, I have a really good flashlight if he needs it.

I did call about an hour ago and the woman in the office said he was “on his way.”  Talk about a fount of information.

Did manage to charge my new little vacuum cleaner.

It seems that when you are waiting for something  (as I am) you hesitate to start on something else that may become involved, because, sure as can be–the first thing that you are waiting for will arrive.  Is that a messed-up sentence, or what?

Well, it’s almost 3 o’clock and the shadows are getting long.

I’ll keep you posted.

Patty
