I’ve had that sort of relationship with a cat. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does, you feel very much loved. You become the center of their world, and it’s not like a normal pet relationship, but more like a partnership. The cat is being itself, but molded to you, and it is the team of the cat and the human that is most important.
It is a very special bond.
Dogs are 100% keyed to their owners, but cats live a more independent life. They aren’t standoffish or aloof, but simply following their own muse. So, when a cat makes you an important part of their life, it feels special. When the bond goes further, such as in this video, it becomes very special.
That was how my Peep was.
