Oregon Dems Kill Bill to Care For Babies Who Survive Abortion

February 18, 2026

It breaks my heart to write this.  It also enrages me.

Democrats in Oregon voted against bringing a bill to the House floor Monday.  This bill would have provided care for babies who survive abortion, giving them the same standard of care as other newborns.  Representative Court Boice introduced Amy Miles who was born alive in 1980.  She is a wife and mother who represents and speaks out for the many babies that survive abortion each year.  Oregon is one of the most radical abortion states, allowing abortion up until the moment of birth.

Why not just call it premeditated murder?

That’s what it is.

I truly do not understand why a police officer can’t walk into the room and say ” I am here to prevent the premeditated murder of an American citizen. ”

I know that is an oversimplification, but it is the truth.

How did we ever get here?

What happened to the Democrats?  They used to be normal.

A lot of things used to be normal.

Not anymore.

  1. Patty – I live in WA state – a close “cousin” to Oregon – and we have the same type of callous-hearted people who live here as in Oregon. The whole West coast is infected with progressives and those who are anti-God and the Bible. I am convinced that there are malevolent spiritual beings who are leading our Marxist leaders in these west coast states into destroying our states and the people who are not born-again through the Lord Jesus Christ. They hate everything that is connected to the Bible and especially Christianity and Christian values. Babies mean nothing to them.

    1. It is unbelievable that this could go on in America. I pray that these evil forces are defeated. It would be too easy to just get disheartened. We have to pray and fight the good fight.

    2. There is a school of thought, sometimes referred to as the Divine Council Worldview, which posits that God appointed certain spirit creatures over various nations. This is based upon newer translations of Deuteronomy 32:8-9, based upon the Dead Sea Scrolls, which renders a portion of verse 8 as “He fixed the borders of the peoples
according to the number of the sons of God”, (English Standard Version) as opposed to “He set the bounds of the peoples
According to the number of the children of Israel” in the older American Standard Version.

This makes sense to me, that God delegated responsibility for various nations to members of His spirit family, when he divided the languages at Babel. Psalm 82 describes this further starting with the words “God has taken his place in the divine council” and goes on to describe God Almighty condemning the actions of these spirit beings for allowing injustice.

This makes a lot of sense to me and explains why various nations seem to have such different personalities, and these can persist for long periods of time, sometimes outlasting the secular governments which may come an go.

So yes, I can easily believe that when people in a place leave behind their belief in God, that malevolent spiritual influence can be allowed in.

When the drug laws were relaxed in Colorado, I felt a palpable shift. There was a feeling of disorder that permeated the social atmosphere. A fellow I spoke to, who had owned a private security firm, told me that as soon as recreational marijuana was legalized, his business became much more challenging and eventually he closed his business, citing safety concerns. All I know is that I avoid the place, and do not feel safe there. BTW, this is identical to the way I’ve felt when visiting California, over the years.

Pray for our nation, and pray for the safety of all whom seek to worship their Maker.
