Today

Today I spent a great deal of time just following the progress of the storm.  It looks like we got about 18-20 inches here in town.

People are really sick of winter around here.  Not a typical New Jersey winter.

I am hoping for a major melt, which should be happening in the next few days.  They have gotten the streets pretty clear, but my poor car in in Siberia right now.

I am going to make my supper now and watch something on YouTube.

God bless everybody.

  1. 18-20 inches of snow is formidable. Hopefully it will melt quickly … very quickly. In Colorado, we would have dramatic snowstorms followed quickly by rapid thaws. It was kind of fun, because the Chinook winds which followed most storms by a day or two, would melt snow so fast that you could watch it in real time. Unfortunately, New Jersey doesn’t have 9,000’ of a mountain range directly to the west, so Chinook winds would require a miracle, but solid above freezing days as the week wears on will have a similar effect.
