Just What I Didn’t Need– A Little Computer Excitement

Today was moving along quite well.

Then, right after lunch, something went radically wrong with my computer.  I had just selected some content that I wanted to post to the blog and when I went over to WordPress to post it–up came the Captcha thingumabob where you get a picture of distorted letters that you have to decipher??!!  To prove you are a human being. No way does this belong on the WordPress platform.  I also saw that I had been disconnected from my AOL email account.  I even put a call in to Jill at Chalcedon (she is a WordPress expert).  After about 25 minutes of total stress I was able to get into my AOL account, and the other problem resolved itself.  I have not the foggiest idea of what happened.  That was one hell of an epic glitch.  Meteor showers?  A server somewhere going mad? Cosmic rays? Solar ejecta?  Your guess is as good as mine.

We are so very dependent on these devices.  When they do not function, it is absolute chaos.  I did call Chalcedon back and tell them the problem was resolved.

But I don’t know why or how, really.

Pray for our troops.  I believe the 82nd Airborne are being sent to the middle east in a non combat capacity.

God bless everybody.

Patty
