Today I was thinking a lot about Lee and what he brought into my life. This was started this afternoon when I went through a large manila envelope that had many cards that he wrote for me–birthdays, anniversaries, etc. He was a terrific cartoonist, and the cards are full of the imaginary characters that he made up for my bedtime story–yes you heard that right. Lee told me a bedtime story every night up until a few years ago.
He brought fun into my life. Yep, fun.
It was like going from a life in black and white to a life in glorious technicolor. All of a sudden there was so much fun! Christmas, New Years , Halloween Fourth of July, you name it. We had the joys of every season. I got more fun out of buying his Christmas presents, than I ever got buying anything for myself.
While I am very sad at the change in my life, I am also so very grateful to God for giving me so many wonderful years with him. They couldn’t have been any better.
God bless everybody.

Yes, Lee was a very multi-talented guy! He brought joy into many peoples lives!
Thank you Carolanne–He was indeed.
Lee was unique among everyone I have ever known. He was certainly an adult, but he never forgot what it was like to be a child, and that was invaluable, both as a writer, and more importantly, as a human. Lee believed that all will be restored, and I share that belief. It’s very sad not to have him with us, but it is a mere interruption.
Thank you, unknowable–he had faith, and a talent for life.
He is truly missed.
