Today was one of those days where mostly you get in your own way trying to get things done.
Finding suitable content, editing, fielding nuisance calls, ordering groceries, setting up my new phone book, etc. I also forgot to do my emails today, so there are probably a couple hundred of those waiting.
Just really the business of everyday living, but some days one seems to be more efficient at it.
Called the landlord first thing and the heat came on in about 20 minutes. This is a very old building and there is only one thermostat for the whole building and it is in apartment 1. Almost everyone who has ever lived there seems to be completely baffled by the concept of the thermostat. The tenant in Apt. one had turned the heat completely off when we had those few hot days–last week or the week before–and just forgot to turn it back on.
Well at least that problem is solved, which is good because it is going down to 31 or thereabouts tonight.
Jeez, I’m tired.
