An animal I know virtually nothing about. I never recall seeing one in my Minnesota days, and they don’t live in Colorado or Arizona, so I guess I missed out. Odd little fellows, but with their own charm. This is an interesting way to end up with three unusual pets.
They are very common here in New Jersey, they are also called woodchucks.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Or, should it be: how much ground could a groundhog grind, if a groundhog could grind ground?
As much as I would like to take credit for this, it was actually coined by Hank Ketcham, creator of Dennis the Menace.
