1. I watched this with interest, earlier today. WTH? I can think of no good reason tor the average person to enter a manhole. A job, earlier in life, required Confined Space training, and I assure you, entering manholes is a very bad idea. If this is someone’s idea of recreation, they need to find a new hobby, before someone ends up dead. If there is some nefarious purpose, let’s hope they are apprehended, post haste.

   2. I can think of no good reason to enter a manhole unless there is work to be done. They can be very dangerous, as in immediate asphyxiation. I don’t think I’ve ever been in one, unless you count some larger telecom vaults, which are considerably more civilized places. I just can’t imagine why anyone would do this for recreational purposes; so what is left?
