My New Glasses

Yes, I finally went and picked up my new glasses.  They have been ready for months.  First we had my car snowed in for weeks and weeks.  Then one thing after another seemed to get in the way.

The eye doctor had said the prescription had changed very little (when I was examined), but the difference is remarkable.  Everything is so bright and clear!

I take a cab there, because it’s on one of the death-race-2000 type roads (of which there are far too many around here) and I wouldn’t have wanted to chance it with either my old glasses, or the new ones.  Even the cab driver was complaining about the crazy driving.  I needn’t have worried about the new glasses, though–they are perfect.

Sometimes small things can make such a big difference in life.

I have a minor concern, though.  It seems that when I have to go anywhere, I get a fair bit of anxiety.  This is new.  I always did the driving around here–all our errands.  Lee would come along, for grocery shopping and such, but I was always the driver.  This new thing is probably somehow related to my grief, and it is not unmanageable, but it is annoying.

Like they say, “you have to get out more.”

I may treat myself to a pizza tonight.

Sounds like a plan.

Have a good night, all.

See you tomorrow.

God bless everybody.

Patty

PS  Now I can spot the bunny!
