I took today off. I was very tired and it was really hot. I spent quite a bit of time watching old Johnny Carson Tonight show clips. Mostly they were of animal (and human) guests with some really funny mishaps. I haven’t had that many good laughs in a long time.
I think it was a good idea.
The story about the dog in the kayak was interesting (you can find it on line–it was too long (and I couldn’t find the link) to transfer it to the blog, but evidently the kayak was blown away from the owners large boat and they couldn’t retrieve it. This poor doggie was going to be blown all the way to Norway if the other boat hadn’t been able to get him. All is good now, however. Owners and dog reunited.
Parrots truly amaze me. One of the Carson clips was a parrot. I don’t understand the mechanism–the incredible way the small bird can reproduce the sound of a relatively deep voice singing “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” with emotion and inflection. Another of God’s wonders.
On that note, I will close for today.
Have a good night, all.
See you tomorrow.
God bless everybody.
Patty
Some of those Carson clips are amazing. He was the all time master. The dog/kayak clip did make it to the blog. Quite a story.
Parrots; I just don’t know, but if a parrot can correlate the tiny ladder in their cate to a ladder used by a tradesman, they obviously have some understanding of symbolic language.
