Wiped out today

For some reason, I was totally wiped out today.

Doing anything was like pulling teeth.

I think it might be because the last few days were pretty stressful and I don’t seem to have the reserves to handle stress like I used to.  I sure hope that capability comes back.  And soon.

It’s funny how memories come back to you.  While I was on the phone with my friend in Florida today I remembered this.  When I lived near the New Jersey bay shore, my friend Bob and I would run our dogs on the beach.  This area was full of creeks, and nothing much else but quill weeds.  It was right on Raritan Bay.  The dogs (6 of them-  5 his 1 mine) could run flat out and nobody was ever there.  It was acres and acres of undeveloped land.  One of the few things that was there was a large chemical plant and the run ended up behind this factory.  One day we were running the dogs and we saw coming toward us three very large dobermans, running free, (no human in sight) and two more behind them.  We figured they were hired by the chemical plant to patrol the area and keep trespassers away. For a couple of minutes, I was completely terrified.  But then the dogs saw our dogs and it was playtime city.  I guess whoever trained these dogs never expected them to run into other dogs.  I truly wish I had a film of those dogs–they had a blast-all of them.  It was playtime -bigtime. When we were heading home the Dobermans really looked wistful (like do you guys really have to go?)  It was an experience I will never forget.  I bet those guard dogs never had so much fun on the job in their lives.

Well, that’s about it for today.

Have a good night, all.

See you tomorrow.

God bless everybody.

Patty

PS those are my daughter’s dogs in the picture.
