 I’ve heard a lot about these buttons, and they do seem to work–just not sure about it.

  1. I feel the same way about the buttons. I know that animals are very smart, but crossing the divide between signals and symbolic language is something I have to view with a degree of skepticism.

    I know that when I speak to my cat, she only seems to comprehend a handful of words, but that makes perfect sense, because felines are somewhat known for being non-responsive to verbal commands. So I have a hard time accepting that animals are learning to use these buttons, and mastering numerous words, and apparently recognizing which button represents which word, seems a bit of a stretch.
