Sorry about the lack of posts today, but we have had pretty severe thunderstorms and I don’t like to be on the computer when that’s going on.

We got our first good rain of the season, today. Our rains are usually late afternoon monsoons, which come in fast, rain like heck, and the leave as fast as they came. Frequently, when a monsoon hits, I feel it, and get very tired. I have no idea why, but it’s been this way for decades.
The one strike today–I heard the hiss, saw the flash, and heard the roar all at the same time. That means it was right on top of me. Yikes.
That can be quite an experience. I was within 100’, or so of a lightning strike was, and it was breathtaking. A fellow employee was in a small building, less than 10’ from the strike, and he was quite shaken up by the experience.
I can really do without that experience.
The guy who was within 10’ of the strike was pretty much unable to function for some time afterward. People don’t associate Tucson with rainstorms, but some of the most impressive photos of lightning are taken in Tucson. We had a short monsoon storm, earlier today.
