Another quiet, non-ambitious day. It is far too hot and the air is crappy. My neighbor told me about the wildfires in Canada, which have given us an overcast sky and bad air. It’s not as bad as the time a couple of years ago, which went on for a few days and the sky was a very creepy shade of burnt orange from horizon to horizon. It scared me to look out of the window. It was really bad.
Going over Lee’s posts today I had to laugh because I remembered the time when he did not know what spam was. He truly detested change and technology. I remember explaining spam and showing him some of the stuff our computer filtered out. He nearly fainted at some of the subject matter. He actually got very good using the computer and once he got used to the keyboard, was just fine. Lee was one of the fastest typists I’ve ever known. He was as fast on a manual typewriter as many people are on keyboards. He loved his manual typewriter, which he had used for years. He truly did not want to give it up.
Somewhere in this apartment there is a picture of Lee at about 9 years old, seated at a typewriter. I hope I can find it eventually–if I do I’ll post it. I have no idea where it is, and I hope it turns up eventually.

A day of threatening rain, here. Monsoon weather makes me lazy.
I only wish I didn’t know what spam was. When I managed an IT department, we spent thousands annually on spam filters.
You should have seen his face when I showed him some of what was filtered out.
