Well, that sure went fast.
All the things I expected to do today–nope.
One of those days where it was virtually impossible to do what I wanted to do, and yet the day seemed to crawl by.
Go figure.
I am still feeling a lot better than I had been, so that’s something.
It was very cold again this morning–very unusual. I hope to heaven we don’t have another winter like last winter.
On the plus side, the piece of boneless pork shoulder I cooked last night was marvelous and there’s plenty for tonight. Cooking for one has been a major adjustment for me, but I seem to be getting the hang of it.
One of the posts today was about Jaws–that was a particular favorite of ours. We saw it in the rerun theater when we were going together and we always watched it on Memorial Day to kick off our summer. We used to catch a lot of sharks when we fished on Long Beach Island on vacation. Lee did a perfect imitation of Robert Shaw singing Farewell and Adieu to you Fair Spanish Ladies.
Happy memories from a long time ago.

I’ve never even thought of actually catching a shark. That had to have been interesting.
Actually, the bay was loaded with small sharks some only about 10 inches long. These sharks are dogfish, which are sharks, but they have flat teeth (they are shellfish eaters). The bay was where they hung out until they got bigger. They also can blink their eyes which made me be very gentle when unhooking them.
There has to be some thrill, holding a shark in your hand. IIRC, my sister had some very sharks in her aquarium. When she put fish food in there, they would circle it, then strike.
I developed a real soft spot for the little ones, mainly because they blink.
