It always amazes me how gentle dogs, but also many other domestic animals are, around small children. They will stare at a tiny infant, apparently knowing that it is human, but not knowing what to make of such a tiny human. They tend to be gentle, kind, and even loving as the infant grows up, and willing to keep an eye on them, and to protect them. I see this as a direct indication that this is an instinct emplaced by our Maker.
A while back, I saw a video of a toddler, leading a horse, and the horse was following and obeying, perfectly. Amazing.
It’s another feature, built-in by our Maker.
Absolutely.
