I wasn’t able to post as much as usual today because I spent the entire morning (or a very large part of it) on the phone with Verizon. All is well and the techs will be coming later in the month to put some gizmo on my computer to deliver my new data-receiver (hope that’s a real thing). It was painless, will be somewhat cheaper and that’s that. I get to keep my phone, etc. so there will be a minimum of change. I had worried about there being a sort of Macy’s vs Gimbels problem because my phone is leased from AT&T, but no problem there either. That’s also good.
So basically, nothing will change on my end except the delivery system. That’s fine with me, and I hope it’s true.
It’s hot again today, but nowhere near as hot or humid as it has been.
Well, at least one important thing was taken care of today, and that’s something.

That’s a relief. We had major Internet problems today. Something went wrong in Phoenix and it affected customers in Tucson and beyond. This is the second such outage of this nature in recent times.
That sounds pretty bad-far reaching. We would all be helpless without the internet.
They are working on a backup Internet source, coming out of New Mexico, allegedly coming online very soon.
We do need a backup.
It’s supposed to happen any day.
