A good day

Happy Labor Day, all.

To celebrate, I took another day off.  I needed it.

Something different today, as well.

My computer man, Adam, came today and brought my new monitor.  He did a lot of internal stuff with the computer as well.  We are connected, so he can see if backups aren’t working, etc.  I’ve known him probably for twenty years and I would recommend him without reservation to anyone who needed that type of service.  We did a lot of catching up, and it was really nice to chat with someone.  A great change of pace.  Conversation with a real live person.

Conversation is one of the things I miss most.

I know I’ve said this before, but Lee and I talked constantly.  All day long.  About everything you could possibly think of.

That I truly miss.

Another lovely day, but really cool this morning, around 55.  That’s a little on the cold side for this time of year.

Please Lord, not another winter like last winter.

On that happy note, I’ll sign off.

Have a good night, all.

See you tomorrow.

God bless everybody.

Patty

  1. I can relate to the conversation thing. A friend from out of state called earlier tonight, just feeling alone as the last holiday of summer passed. It’s a real problem, and while it’s easy to come up with glib answers, it’s impossible to replace family, which is something many people are experiencing these days.

I try to structure my life into routines. It isn’t a solution, per se, but it helps. I also talk to people whenever I have the opportunity. I have an interesting neighbor whom I run into when we take out early morning bike rides. It helps.

Happy Labor Day, and hang in.
