Yesterday was so messed-up I never put my end of the day post on.
Well today I felt physically much much better.
However the stress factor set in.
I have one prescription. It is an inhaler, which I use once per day. Same time every morning. Easy, right?
Nope.
Almost every month there is some kind of hassle.
I got an email from Walgreens the other day, saying it would be ready for pick-up today.
I carefully timed when I would go to pick it up as this town has to be very cautiously navigated–dodging the school buses in the early AM, then the going to work traffic, then the lunchtime traffic and God help you if you get caught in the school bus after school gridlock. Not to mention the coming home from work crowd a little later on.
I got to Walgreens around 1:30 and the line at the pharmacy went almost all the way up one aisle. When it finally got to be my turn it was almost 2:00.
Then the clerk informs me that they won’t have my prescription until after their 5 o’clock delivery from another store. Disbelieving, I said “Do you mean I have to come back here after 5?”
She nodded and said very softly “Yes.”
I left the store, came home and decided I would go when the pharmacy opens tomorrow. I’m supposed to use the inhaler at the same time every day, but it will be late tomorrow. I usually take my med at around 6 in the morning. No way was I going back there today.
I did ask about delivery, but that’s a whole ‘nother hassle (which I am too tired and too annoyed to go into right now.
