  1. A convoluted story, but a good ending, overall. The fact that the dog was in Summit County makes the 11,000’ elevation somewhat unremarkable. The main town in Summit County is at 9,700’, so he may not have traveled all that far. Poor little guy just got lost.

    2. It gets pretty cold, at that elevation, even in summer, and exceptionally cold in winter.
