This is a rescue in St. Louis. Bless them for their work. I am pretty sure they are volunteers.

What we didn’t see about the beagle rescues. The rescuers were great.
The police did not have to use tear gas and rubber bullets on the rescuers, who were non violent. It did work out, though.
