What a day

One of my worst traits is to overthink and worry about things.  It’s a really bad fault and I honestly try very hard not to do it, but it rears it’s ugly head from time to time.

Today I had to go to the store and I was already slightly semi-frantic trying to figure out what I would do if my car wouldn’t start.  It’s been over a week since I used the car and I was absolutely certain it would not start.  We’ve had a number of pretty cold nights .  But lo and behold when I turned the key, it started right up.  Thank you, Lord.

That meant I had to take my ride–so I took a trip around town and up by the hospital.  It was a good hour.

The changes they are making in this town are not for the better (are they ever?).

Then after that and having lunch, it was time for my monthly call to Walgreens.  I only take one prescription, and I just wanted to make sure I would have the prescription on time.  It is a once a day preparation, to be taken at the same time every day.  I was on hold for close to half an hour, then when I got to the pharmacist she told me they were out of it and had to order it.  Before I could say another word, we were cut off.  I did not have it in my heart to go through the same rigmarole again, so I’ll let that go until tomorrow.

By this time it was fairly late in the afternoon.

Hence the lack of posts today.

At least my car started and that was a big worry.

Have a good night all.

See you tomorrow.

God bless everybody.

  1. That pharmacy thing sounds like a real hassle. I’ve had several different pharmacies over the years, including a mail-order one my employer’s insurance company all but forced us to use. (I have to wonder what effect spending an afternoon in a mailbox on a hot Arizona day has on some medications.) I finally ended up at a nearby Safeway supermarket. I usually drop by 2-3 days before a refill, give them the word, and then pick it up a few days later.

Good news about the car. My recalcitrant mower may have healed itself. Well, I did dismantle and clean the carburetor yesterday, an easy task, and now it seems happy, once again.

    1. Walgreens is a pain. They are too big and too busy. Phoning them is a joke. This usually happens when I have my semi annual doctor visit and she renews the scrip. It takes a while to kick in. I also would not go mail order with this scrip as it is very volatile–no hot mailbox or truck for that one.
