When I was a boy, there was a fad for keeping chinchillas. Supposedly you’d make money selling them for fur. My friend Jimmy’s father had a whole basement full of them, but never got rich.
I’m glad that fad has passed. But meanwhile… dust bath, anyone?
When I was a boy there was a major fad for raising chinchillas–supposedly you could get rich selling their pelts for costly fur coats. My friend Jim had a whole cellar full of them.
Happily, that fad didn’t stick around for long. Chinchillas are now pets. They take dust baths for their health.
You should probably avoid humans who take dust baths.
