Gone bad! Democrats and rotten apples.
Long ago–or maybe not so long ago–the biggest part of my job was to interview politicians, most of whom were Democrats. I met and got to know dozens of men and women holding public office.
And with only a very few exceptions, they were all sane and decent people. Maybe some of their public policies were a bit off-base… but never so far out as to make you wonder about their mental health.
Where have they gone? What happened to them? How did they get replaced with gibbering Far Left hypocrites? Maybe you can name a Democrat who’s not crazy; but no one else will have heard of him, and he (or she) will not be tapped to run for president.
I have a degree in Political Science. I’m supposed to understand stuff like this. But this wrinkle in history–the Democrats’ wholesale migration into neo-marxism–just plain stumps me. Where have all the normals gone? (As much as I would love to quote Francois Villon here, I’ll let it pass.)
Nor do you need me to say how this Far Left mind-set has led to crime and vi0lence: “If you can’t beat ’em, kill ’em.”
