The baker finally won. The tyrants lost.
Remember Jack Phillips, baker, owner of Masterpiece Cake Shop? Gotta go back twelve years.
In 2012 a couple of lesbians sued him because he wouldn’t custom-make a cake for their same-sex pseudo-wedding. His refusal was based on his religious beliefs. Organized Sodomy and bunches of liberals have been trying all this time to force him to yield–’cause that would be a big win for them.
But this week the Colorado Supreme Court–the US Supreme Court wouldn’t decide, but batted it back to the state– dismissed the lawsuits and Mr. Phillips is finally out from under the boot-heel (https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4270032/posts).
Which means that for all the Far Left’s efforts to get rid of it, freedom of religion still exists in America. The government cannot force you to act contrary to your religious beliefs. Although someday they would like to.
Anyway, some good news, and it’s always welcome: for once the good guys win.
