Live by the sword, die by the sword. That proverb will haunt the Nike corporation for a while.
A Moscow resident has filed a formal complaint with Russian authorities alleging that Nike, in its advertising and public relations, has practiced “racial discrimination against Russians” by means of an “almost complete absence of white models in Nike’s Russian language site” (https://www.revolver.news/2022/02/russia-flips-diversity-script-on-nike-advertising/). And more generally, says the complaint, Nike is trying “to impose Western values and stereotypes” on Russia.
Delicious irony! But it’s no joke. The Russian authorities could open a criminal case over this.
Live by the sword… Well, the wokies forged this sword, didn’t they? Never dreaming it would ever be used against their Cherished Minorities.
We are against laws that curb freedom of speech. If Nike wants to use all black and Asian models in their catalogs, so what? If you don’t like it, don’t buy Nike (they’re charging you too much for sneakers anyhow).
