What’s with our major cities?
Now it’s Atlanta, where the chief of police has just announced a new “zero chase policy” (https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/its-open-season-criminals-atlanta-police-stop-chasing-criminals). Yes, you read that right: police in Atlanta will no longer pursue fleeing criminals.
The police chief admits “this decision may drive crime up.” Gee, ya think? But she says they might as well stop trying to catch the bad guys because “the judicial system is largely unresponsive to the actions of the defendants.” We catch ’em, the courts release ’em.
Are we going to just give up on our cities? Well, the ones run by Democrats have already given up on themselves. Like, maybe we can have a civilization without cities. Or one in which only criminals inhabit the cities.
