What’s with our major cities?
Now it’s Atlanta, where the chief of police has just announced a new “zero chase policy” (https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/its-open-season-criminals-atlanta-police-stop-chasing-criminals). Yes, you read that right: police in Atlanta will no longer pursue fleeing criminals.
The police chief admits “this decision may drive crime up.” Gee, ya think? But she says they might as well stop trying to catch the bad guys because “the judicial system is largely unresponsive to the actions of the defendants.” We catch ’em, the courts release ’em.
Are we going to just give up on our cities? Well, the ones run by Democrats have already given up on themselves. Like, maybe we can have a civilization without cities. Or one in which only criminals inhabit the cities.
Progressivism marches on!
I hate to say I see their point. It is a revolving door and with so many obama leftovers in the judicial system, it’s futile. But if we citizens could take matters into our own hands and someone ran away with MY stuff, would the police chase me chasing the thief?
In Canada you’d be arrested for that.
And don’t forget the shopkeeper in Ohio who chased the shoplifters outside, got beaten up by them, and then found himself savaged by the big brains at Oberlin U. for being a racist etc. A judge ordered Oberlin to pay him millions of dollars in damages, but they haven’t paid it yet.
So the judge is still waiting for his share… It’s all back a-wards because progressive is so regressive. I feel like there’s some kind of free for all going on and I must stay vigilant so no one falls on me. I wouldn’t want to owe someone millions of dollars for giving them a soft landing. PS: I put MAGA into a comment yesterday and got a reply calling me racist because “MAGA is racist.” MAGA.

Yes, the world is upside down now, running under the rules of satan. The Scripture clearly tells us he is current god of this world, and anyone who cannot see that is truly blind. To him and his followers, everything that is right is wrong and vise versa.
In San Francisco you can steal up to $950 and you won’t be prosecuted. The ACLU and others started sticking up for the criminals, and now it is at a place where they have more rights than law-abiding citizens. Socialism and Communism are systems embraced by urban dwellers but rejected by those in the hinterlands. Maybe advances in technology will make the big cities obsolete in the future. I know I am for moving the three branches of the federal gov’t somewhere in the middle of the country and in three separate locations.
That’d put a crimp in the D.C. cocktail party culture.
