“Get me outta here, it’s melting my brain!”

Is this regular crapola or mega-crapola!

Harvard University–tuition for the 2022-23 academic year, $57,000 and change–is now offering a course in–about? What’s the right preposition here?–Taylor Swift, supposedly The Greatest And Most Fabulous Star In The World.

As far as I know, I have never heard a Taylor Swift song. She has a boyfriend and wears a lot of lip-glop. And it almost goes without saying that she’s Far Left . They won’t let you be a celebrity if you aren’t. And you have to endorse SloJo for four more years in the White House. I wonder how much of her dignity it cost her to do that. I’m guessing none.

Dig this blather from Harvard, describing the Taylor Swift course: “We will learn how to study (what?) fan culture, celebrity culture, adolescence and adulthood (don’t hold your breath) and approbation… white texts, Southern texts, transatlantic texts, and queer subtexts–”

Stop! Stop! No mas, no mas! My brain is melting, I can’t take any more of this…!

(That 57,000 smackers does not include a multitude of fees.)

  1. yuck. she is probably one of those who goes on camera with very few clothes on. yuck

  2. Lee, I’ve heard Taylor’s music and it’s not all that remarkable; it’s similar to the music of other pop musicians of today. Don’t understand all the hoopla over it. A college course? If only I had that money in hand to pay for this course, I’d surely skip the course and put that money to better use.
