I am surprised at the cover. I thought it would show a picture of the Temple, or the ruins of the Temple, but instead, this dragon looking thing. It looks intriguing!
The problem with an illustration of the Temple is, too many readers would find it doesn’t match what they imagined. This problem comes up all the time in fantasy literature. I prefer to leave certain things to the reader’s imagination.
May I ask what this is?
It’s a creature that appears in the book, a lake monster. We patterned it on Liopleurodon, a huge marine predator of the Jurassic.
