By Request, ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Here’s one to make the libs, progs, and flatline churches nervous–Soldiers of the Lion, performed by Chuck Girard.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12)–of whom the evil and ungodly rulers of the present age are but the worldly servants.

  1. Thank you, Lee. Inspiration for the saints to put on our armor for the time is here when Our Lord is calling us to battle!.

  2. Right you are, Linda. No more time to shrink back, tolerate sin just to keep the peace. We either stand up and do battle, or be trampled by the enemy.
This is a thrilling battle hymn. I love it. Let our Lord be glorified.

    1. When I close my eyes and listen to this hymn, I weep with joy when I picture Jesus leading us, His ragtag army, to victory as He did so many times in ancient Israel.

  3. YES! I can’t see why anyone would cringe when hearing this. It stirs my blood, and makes me want to get out there and march with full armor on.
The gates of hell cannot prevail against us. The gates are stationary, we advance against them and smash them.
