Bonus Hymn: ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

“Feminist music” left my mind full of bad air, like a boarded-up attic on a hot summer day. It’ll take a hymn to blow some fresh air back into it.

Soldiers of the Lion, by Chuck Girard–we don’t know when Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back, but we want to be ready for Him when He does.

Bonus Hymn, by Request: ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Linda asked for this encore–see how easy it is to make a hymn request–so here it is: Soldiers of the Lion, by Chuck Girard.

It is the Lion of the tribe of Judah who will avenge His saints when He returns to take up His kingdom of the earth.

Encore by Request: ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Requested by Linda, seconded by Erlene: Soldiers of the Lion, by Chuck Girard.

Hey, out there–if there’s a hymn you really like, and I’ve posted it before, you can always ask for it again. We do reruns!

‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Linda called for this one: Soldiers of the Lion, by Chuck Girard. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5) is not a tame lion, and it is our glory to be allowed to enter into the labors of all His saints. And if the lyrics are a bit much for squishy, world-pleasing Christians–You’ve had the planet long enough… Get you back to outer darkness–well, that’s all to the good.

Encore, ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

By popular demand, one more time–Chuck Girard and Soldiers of the Lion.

There are Christians who just cringe all over at the military metaphor, never mind the New Testament resorts to it again and again.

This song reminds me of one of my favorite lines in all the Bible, spoken by David:

“Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (I Samuel 17:26)

It is a question we can still ask today; and you can come up with as many answers as I can.

By Request, ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Posted once before, and now posted again by reader request: here you go, Linda.

By Request, ‘Soldiers of the Lion’

Here’s one to make the libs, progs, and flatline churches nervous–Soldiers of the Lion, performed by Chuck Girard.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12)–of whom the evil and ungodly rulers of the present age are but the worldly servants.
