By Request, ‘Standing on the Promises’

Here you go, Joyce–Standing on the Promises, sung a capella by a very fine quartet.

I do love Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, which I have posted before and will post again sometime soon.

  1. Thank you. This could not have come at a more opportune moment for me. I just got a call from my son saying the surgery on his shoulder only made it worse, and the surgeon would not try again since it looks hopeless. I know the promises God has made to me and that is what I have to stand on.

  2. These hymns that are so upbeat are very welcome in these times. Erlene, I’ll pray for your son and your family. Lee, you and your family are in my prayers also.

  3. Linda, I am very grateful for your prayers. I am at your service for prayers on your behalf as well.

    1. Thank you so much, Erlene. For that, I’m truly grateful. Our prayers for one another are always heard. Last night, as I was having my conversation with our Heavenly Father, I shook my head as I remarked to Him how many of us are calling on Him at the same instant and yet He hears them all!

  4. Pastor told about a tiny, little old lady who would throw her Bible on the floor and stand on top of it while she prevailed upon God to watch over and save her grandson. She reminded God that He promised and she was standing on His promises.
P.S. the grandchildren were all saved in due time. That’s the EFFECTUAL FERVENT prayer of the righteous !!
