Aunt Joan Update

I know I should be blogging news and stuff, but I do want to report on this.

I finally heard from the doctor this afternoon; and, against expectation, my aunt seems to be getting better. She’s still breathing on her own, and various medications are kicking in. I plan to visit her tomorrow, now that she won’t have assorted doctors working on her. She hasn’t had to be placed in the Intensive Care Unit, either.

I thank you all for your prayers on her behalf. Please keep ’em coming.

  1. Prayer works. Thankfully the Castrocare death panels aren’t up and running yet. I worry about my aging family members in the age of Castrocare. Grammaw passed away last year at 93.
It is up to God to decide when time is up and not some unelected bureaucrat death panel.
Praying for you and your aunt, praying for my family and for everyone, praying for the nations, praying for the stray kitties and other mistreated people and animals.

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13, 14)

  2. Praise the Lord, this is good news, and now is not the time to slack off, but keep pressing the issue, in faith, perseverance and the knowledge that HE is in total authority. Sometimes, He waits to see if we are willing to devote our time and effort while He is just waiting to intervene if only we will ask.
I will keep bringing the need before the Lord.
