‘Alleluia! Alleluia! Let the Holy Anthem Rise’

Ah, two hymn requests! Now we’re cooking. I will post them in the order received.

First, for Phoebe, Alleluia! Alleluia! Let the Holy Anthem Rise, sung by the congregation at Queen of Angels Chapel, Spicewood, Texas. I’d never heard this hymn before: it’s got a lot of go to it.

  1. Thank you, Lee! I especially love the stanza that begins, “Alleluia, alleluia, like the sun from out the wave, / He is risen up in triumph from the darkness of the grave.” But I also love the line in the first stanza about the mountains skipping with gladness. The whole song makes me want to laugh and dance and shout “Alleluia!”
