By Request, ‘The Christmas Guest’

It’s early to be playing Christmas hymns, but Linda asked for this and how could I say no?–The Christmas Guest, by Grandpa Jones.

A funny thing happened to me while I was listening to this. A certain passage in Zechariah came to mind, and my eyes filled up with tears–tears of joy and relief.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of  Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.   –Zechariah 9:9

  1. Thank you so much, Lee. My family and I listen to this several times throughout the season and now my daughters never fail to listen to it with their children. c As always, I’m brought to tears by this – as you said, tears of joy and comfort.
