The Novocain’s still got half my face, and I have to keep biting down on a thick gauze pad to stop the bleeding, and my jaw feels like I was lucky it wasn’t snapped off–but other than that, I’m okay.
Because the tooth had fractured into a jillion pieces under the crown, I was afraid this was going to be a long and complicated ordeal. But it only seemed that way. “Everything went perfectly,” the surgeon assured me.
I can’t talk because I have to keep my remaining teeth clamped down on this gauze, and there’s no point in resorting to a comforting cigar until the Novocain wears off.
Enough. There’s news to cover.
Thank you all for your prayers.
