Dogs eat squirrels–right? If they can catch them, which doesn’t happen very often.
But not these dogs. When a baby squirrel was brought into their home, they sort of adopted him. And the squirrel has adopted them back.
That kind of adaptability argues for a rather high order of intelligence.
I always said my iguana was smart because he had dog friends. My wife’s dog used to groom him. He had a cat friend, too, but he was mostly a dog lizard. Sort of like the squirrel in this video.

Wow, I’ll have to show my kids this one, even though afterward they will be begging for a “pet” squirrel.
The 🐕s and the 🐿 seem to get along very well!
