Why should a pit bull get so worked up over a pineapple? It seems like there ought to be a punchline there.
Thing is, dogs are intelligent enough to have minds of their own–and some of those minds are a little hard to figure out. But that’s what makes them fun.
And I thought our pup was hyper. Well, she is, but these dogs are just as much.
I had a terrier once who decided that he didn’t like a cinder block that had washed up on the beach. I don’t know what that block had done, but he was really angry with it and literally started fighting it and biting out chunks. I couldn’t drag him away and literally had to pick him up and carry him or he could have damaged his teeth. As you can imagine this whole thing got us some pretty weird looks from the other people on the beach.
What goes through their heads at times like that?
I don’t think it can be known for sure, but I would guess that they are simply seeing something different than we would see in the objects of their derision, be it pineapple or cinder block.
The dog with the trampoline was pretty clever.
Lol I really don’t know. I would personally find it hard to get offended by a cinder block, though that dog of mine also used to attack bongo drums whenever he saw them!
Well, okay, bongo drums, sure!
He probably didn’t like beatnicks. 🙂
