‘When We All Get to Heaven’

Things have been mighty quiet around here lately; no wonder the kittens and puppies fall asleep.

So let’s shake it off and make a joyful noise unto the Lord–When We All Get to Heaven, sung by the choir and the congregation at Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. I find their music minister grows on me. If he gets any more excited, he’ll fall over.

I kind of like that music leader myself. Usually such emotive leaders embarrass me, but this one seems full of genuine joy.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of us found his approach a little off-putting. I feel pretty much the same as you do (especially after that mortifying experience I had in church when somehow I was the only one who thought it was supposed to be an old-fashioned revival service). But I think it comes straight from this man’s heart.
