‘The Son of God Goes Forth to War’

This is a “Psalm Sing” at Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, and the hymn is The Son of God Goes Forth to War. When I hear that, I want to be there!

The hymn can also be sung to the tune of The Minstrel Boy.

  1. What a beautiful rendition. This is the kind of hymn the PC church has discouraged in its amnesia about the “church militant.” Yet the words ring true. Thanks for posting.

  2. Martin Luther taught the best way to fight the devil was with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. The second best way he said was Christian singing because the devil can’t stand it. I don’t think the devil was at that church in Idaho that day!
